By using Better Legacy, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Luma Software, Helsinki, Finland.
Better Legacy is an end-of-life planning platform providing last wishes documentation, online account management, memory preservation, life list tracking, AI-powered chat, family collaboration, and document storage. Some features require a paid subscription.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.
You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and be responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at hello@betterlegacy.io.
Premium subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Manage subscriptions through your App Store, Google Play, or account settings. Prices may change with advance notice.
You retain ownership of all content you create. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your personal content.
You agree not to: violate applicable laws, upload harmful or illegal content, attempt unauthorised access to our systems, reverse engineer the Service, or harass other users.
AI chat and content tools are for planning assistance and support only — not professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Do not rely on AI for legal matters such as wills and estate planning without consulting a qualified professional. To keep these features available and reliable for everyone, AI chat is offered subject to reasonable fair-use limits and safeguards against automated or excessive use. These limits are set well above typical personal use and are not intended to restrict genuine use of the Service; we may adjust them from time to time to protect service quality.
Content shared within a family is visible to members you invite. The "Shared With Me" feature allows items to be unlocked immediately or after your passing based on death confirmation settings you configure.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Better Legacy does not provide professional advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luma Software is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed amounts paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim.
These Terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes shall be resolved in Helsinki, Finland, unless required otherwise by consumer protection law in your country.
